Subject: Volunteers for Tour de Creme 5/19

Not just a bike ride, the Tour de Crème is a contest that consists of three different age-graded pedal-powered tours of the SouthCoast’s creameries, all of which start and end in Mattapoisett.  All rides are followed by a party at Munro Park featuring some of your favorite food trucks, cold beer, and even massages for riders post-pedal that are brought to you by the Mattapoisett Land Trust and the Friends of the Mattapoisett Bike Path. Proceeds from the rides helps to build and maintain  the town’s recreational trails.  Right now, the Tour de Crème is seeking volunteers!  All you have to do to be part of the race is go here to sign up for volunteer roles.

These are the volunteer positions that the race organizers are looking for on Sunday May 19:

Creamery volunteers to re-fill waters, flag in riders, pass out maps if needed, cheer people on, and have fun at the creameries!

  • 2-3 Volunteers to be at the Country Whip in Acushnet from 10:25-11:45am
  • 2-3 Volunteers to be at the West Island Creamery in Fairhaven from 11:25am-1:00pm

Flaggers

Flaggers are needed for the 9-, 22-, and 45-mile rides!  The timing varies for these jobs, but they typically run about 1.5 hours, and volunteers are stationed at tricky turns to help cyclists stay on course.

If you’re able to send this around to anyone at all, the Land Trust would so appreciate your help!
