Today’s and likely tomorrow’s worlds and information are synonymous. In one way, shape, or form both are in the driver’s seat for the way we live our lives, and already, they are managing all of that information, which is getting ahead of where we, the MWC, is with information management at the present time. Realizing this, the Executive Board gave a nod to forming an Ad Hoc Committee concerning technology development and the Club.
As a result, we are hoping that several of you who have had more technology than the rest of us will step up to help us with the MWC and technology. We have some ideas about where we’d like to go; we just aren’t sure how to get there and what we need to do next.
Under the very capable leadership of Gail Roberts, who has had years of experience with a great number of tech issues at many levels, we’re hoping to get into archiving, storage, website development, and develop an overall map of where we presently are relative to what the rest of our peers are doing as well as shaping the direction in which we’re headed with technology.
